Your words, not a course's.
Add the German or English words you keep running into. Blitz fills in the article, plural and meaning, then asks you about each one until you can write it from memory.

Which word is it?
Type a word. The rest is already there.
Pick a suggestion and its article, plural, translation and a short definition come with it. The most common words were rewritten one clear meaning at a time, so Schloss the castle and Schloss the lock stay apart. Prefer your own meaning, or a photo? Write it, or snap it.
Go on, add a few. They'll be waiting for you in Blitz.
Every word climbs five steps.
From spotting it among four to writing it with nothing to lean on. Three right answers in a row move a word up; one miss moves it down. Lower levels come up more often, so the shaky words get the practice.
-
Pick it from four
The article is shown, so you just have to know the word.
-
Pick it from eight
The wrong ones are spelled most like it, and now you choose der, die or das too.
-
Put its letters in order
A third of them already sit in place. Drag the rest, or type them.
-
Write it with a head start
The first letters are given. The article is yours to write.
-
Write it from one letter
Or hear it said aloud and write it down. Six right in a row and it's offered for the archive.
Each question shows one of the word's clues: its photo, its translation, its definition, or its sound.
der, die, das, in colour.
Every noun keeps its article and its colour wherever it shows up: in your list, in the options, on the buttons. Words for people and animals come in pairs, and half the time practice asks for the other one.
der Kater
die Katze
das Kätzchen
der Lehrer die Lehrerin
